Mission Statement

"Empowering Adventure, Preserving Nature, Building Community: We ride with purpose, driven by a passion for the great outdoors and a commitment to responsible stewardship. Through collaboration, innovation, and a deep respect for the environment, we create and maintain world-class trail systems that inspire connection, foster friendships, and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come."

Who We Are

The Rocky ATV Club rides and looks after trails south of the Baptiste River, north of Sundre, and east of the Forestry Trunk Road in Clearwater County. Our goal is to protect this spectacular region by developing sustainable and maintainable trails with minimal impact to the land and water. This will allow riders to use this area for years to come.

Message from the President

I wanted to let our great members know what is in store for the summer. Before the future, the past. Thanks to the hard work of our members, we have received two highly significant awards. Firstly, the County of Clearwater Stewardship award, which is given for outstanding stewardship in the county. This might be a first. An OHV group receiving an award for protecting and preserving the environment. Secondly, we just received a similar award from the Government of Canada. Wow, what an honour!

We just completed our annual chainsaw course so keep your eyes open for next year's course offering.

Now, upcoming events. We have ongoing work bees that are taking place on our trails around Nordegg,, Highway 752 campground areas and the Chamber's Creek system. If you are interested in helping out with these work bees contact Chris Elias or Trail Boss for the next work bee. Our executive will post messages to the teams, and hopefully, you'll be able to participate. Chris Elias is our Trail Boss. Let him know that you want to be on these work bee teams at rockyatvclub@gmail.com

Our popular Maintenance night will be coming up soon. A registration form will be available shortly. Third week of June, Wednesday June 17 at S5 Power sports

Kids Ride Camp- July 4 on the Meadows Trail. Get your kids registered ASAP. We are going to have a full house of fun. The committee has been meeting for months already and has lots of activities planned for the weekend. Volunteers are still welcome.

Our second Poker Rally will be held on our weekend campout August 7-9 at Rough Creek and the Meadows Trail. The Rally will be on Saturday. We will need people for registrations, Poker card stations, setting up signage, communications, first aid, take down, and trail sweeping. We will schedule people if you also want to participate in the rally. This will be a fun way to meet members and create a larger group of friends to ride with.
